The association will proactively strive to create an environment embodying communication with and participation by Alumni Association of UMCAT and friends to foster strong loyalty to UMCAT and growth of the association. The association will increase its financial strength as well as provide aid and support to deserving students and appropriate School projects.

Mission
To create a lifelong and worldwide community of alumni through increased opportunities for meaningful engagement in order to increase awareness, pride, participation, volunteer involvement, and philanthropic commitment to UMCAT that provides a platform for professional and personal development of alumni of UMCAT, its trustees, staff and the students.
- Strengthening the ties between former and continuing students of UMCAT, the Institute and the Media fraternity;
- Stimulating the interest and activity of the alumni of UMCAT School of Journalism;
- Preserving and furthering the mission of UMCAT School of Journalism;
- Participating in further development of UMCAT School of Journalism.
- Keep Alumni Conversant with the programs and activities of UMCAT;
- Develop alumni programs that foster fellowship among alumni and encourage the physical, moral, and spiritual growth of UMCAT students; and,
- Assist UMCAT in the growth of its academic, administrative, cultural, and extracurricular activities.
